Nicely done! Good topic. Good start in documentary making. Be sure to use a tripod or have a steady camera on those action shots.
It could be a little shorter and I think it would be even better. Use your best stuff. Keep it up!
Yeah…those were in our days before we owned a camera stabilizer. We couldn’t use a tripod with action shots there because the press were relegated to an area of the bleachers and the only other option was to try and shoot between the slats of the fence, which didn’t always work. We kinda look back on those shots and laugh.
We edited for a specific length because this piece was shown on TV in Seattle and we thus had to fill a certain amount of time. In retrospect, we should have considered removing at least one of the sections for the Internet version.
Wow! I finally got to see this! What a great job, and frankly, I’ve seen worse on public television. Do you think you could get this aired somewhere? You guys did an awesome thing here! (And I finally got Quicktime fixed — removed it then reloaded it).
Well heck – if I read it all I would see it was on TV in Seattle. Dur lol. How about somewhere here in Florida, though?
The bit was aired in Seattle on a show called Sex Life Live (http://www.sexlifelive.org) that we still have production contacts with. We’d be happy to show it in Florida, but we don’t know of any shows we could get it on. If you have any contacts, we’ll be happy to work with them.
